Would you castigate a doctor for pointing out great people in medical history and then saying, "I also am a surgeon who can save lives with my skill"?

Probably not.

The author is not a weekend writer or a fly-by-night blogger as many of us are, but a true professional. It's up to you to glean what is or is not useful to you in his article. I do know his article was quite useful to me.
