What happens when one votes for the next president? Right below that choice are a whole line of choices for senators, representatives, judges, county commissioners, taxes, initiatives, and whatnot.

When someone stays home because they don’t want to vote for the president, that means they’re not voting for any of those other people or issues…and when it comes to those issues, ALL states are “battleground states”.

Sure, you can choose not to vote for either presidential candidate but still make the other votes…but if someone’s decided not to vote for either presidential candidate, that means they’re a lot less likely to show up to vote at all…

…and that hurts us all.

I suggest changing your tune. Your state IS a battleground state — if not for the presidential candidates, then certainly for all the other candidates and issues.

Do your freaking civic duty, willya?
