Well said — I had not considered the probability that the inner two-thirds (as a rough guesstimate) might present so many dangers from gravitational perturbation and radiation that civilizations are much less likely therein. In other words, not only is Earth in our solar system’s Goldilocks zone, but our solar system’s in our galaxy’s Goldilocks zone.
