"Waterboarding" - for which Japanese officers were prosecuted executed - comes to mind.

Which, btw, is why I've said *many* times over the years that Bush and Cheney should have stood trial at The Hague...for by their not having stood trial for approving crimes for which we executed Japanese officers, we've made ourselves hypocrites.
