Thank you — I earnestly enjoy reading articles like this, that show we all have more in common than we think. Behind my house in Manila there’s a small mountain, a “bunduk” (“boon-duck”) in the local language Tagalog. That’s where we in America get the word “boondocks”, and where we in the Navy get the word “boondockers”, the name for the boots we sailors wear with our working uniforms.
