Thank you for your kind response — I really appreciate that. And you’re right about my wife. I thought I was smart…but then I married her. I honestly think she’s a genius, and she’s the bravest, most courageous person I know (in the reference, I refer to her by a different name — “Iryne” and “Cris” are both pseudonyms for her). What I did right was to listen to her, to give her reason and common sense precedence over my own male pride.

Frankly, I think any credit I get is probably an example of “male privilege”, for the ones who deserve the lion’s share of the credit are Cris and Ricky.
