Thank you for your kind reply, and for your own service.

Thing about Antifa is that - as you know - it's not an organized group. Anyone can claim being part of it.

But it's not like, say, a political party, because while anyone can register as a member of any political party, there's no overarching organization that represents or speaks for Antifa. "Antifa" has no mailing address, no physical address, no official spokesperson, and no chairperson. They are much less organized than were the militias or the Tea Parties of the Obama era. Heck, even the progressive wing of the Dems are more organized. At least they have politicians and pundits who sorta-kinda speak for them (full disclaimer - I used to claim to be progressive, but after the Bernie Bros helped Trump win in 2016 because Their Boy Bernie didn't win the nomination, I've had a running confrontation with them about the perils of demanding ideological purity - I choose pragmatism over idealism).

The closest organizational comparison I can make to Antifa is with sports fans. No, sports fans don't riot and cause damage (unless they win a championship), but...look at the Yankees. Anyone can be a Yanks fan (I'm not), and they cheer together and talk together, and there's even loose organizations of Yanks fans, but Yanks fandom has no mailing or physical address, and there's absolutely nobody who can speak for Yanks fans as a whole.

That's why it's easy to point fingers at the GOP or the Dems - or at the state of South Carolina in 1860 - but not so easy to point the finger at Antifa as a whole.

Strictly speaking, you're quite right about which individuals can be charged with what, but addressing Antifa as a group is problematic at best.

Lastly, concerning your military career and your current one as a PMC you'll have some interesting stories to tell. I look forward to reading them.
