Steve Bannon’s Arrest: Sometimes Karma Goes Overboard
And sometimes she breaks out the Mk 48 ADCAP torpedoes
Today Steve Bannon was arrested for allegedly defrauding donors to a $25 million “Build the Wall” fundraising campaign to build Trump’s beloved wall along America’s border with Mexico. It was even highly praised by Fox News luminaries like Laura Ingraham. For liberals like myself, that in and of itself would have been worth a smile, noting how yet another of Trump’s administration has been indicted for pretending the law didn’t apply to them. That, and as a retired sailor watching this former Navy lieutenant encourage support for right-wing autocrats in other nations, I was rather gratified that law and order still sometimes prevailed in America.
But then word came that the ones who arrested him were from the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS). Seeing Trump’s current war against our Constitutionally-mandated Postal Service, I was further gratified to see that they personally arrested one of Trump’s first choices for senior White House advisers, one who claimed (in so many words) that he wasn’t racist or xenophobic, but even Glenn Beck compared him to Joseph Goebbels. Here’s a bit of insight to Bannon’s mindset:
