Sorry, I disagree. A few years ago Proxima Centauri emitted a solar flare visible from Earth, and certainly would have been deadly to any nearby planet. It seems that red dwarfs — as long-lived as they are — may have a tendency to emit such flares, and may well render any planets in their respective “Goldilocks zones” uninhabitable.
