Really? Please tell me what leftist positions are more extreme than mass deportation camps for literally millions of people and mandatory gov’t registration of pregnancies to ensure no abortions are had (and btw, there have already been prosecutions of women for suspected abortions after they had suffered miscarriages).

I know that embracing “bothsidesism” makes it feel to you like you’re being fair and balanced for both sides, and taking the word of a respected polling agency feels like you’re doing your due diligence. I get that. I do understand.

But are you digging into the specific policies supported by either party? What is it that we on the Left support that is anywhere near as extreme as the examples listed above?

Picture American the political arena as an American football field - one side Republican, the other Democratic, and midfield are middle-of-the-road independents.

Now picture one side moving the goalpost not just a few meters, but off the field, through the locker room, and out to the far side of the parking lot. Are they extreme? Sure…but to *their* perspective, “midfield” is further to their side, past where the goalpost used to be…and the other side *seems* extreme from their perspective.

I suggest you dig into the policies held by both sides and determine for yourself which side is being extreme. And when you do so, read up on “Project 2025” and “Agenda 47”, which are the stated blueprints and plans for governance by the Republican Party should they win. THEN you won’t be dependent upon a pollster to tell you who is more extreme than whom.
