Please understand that I don’t want Trump to escape justice — he is in my opinion a wannabe dictator with no empathy for human life or suffering, and the only reason his administration hasn’t been twice as bad as it has been is because he’s just not that bright. If he were of even average raw intelligence, we’d all be in trouble. But just as Idi Amin was paid off and allowed to retire in luxury to avoid the bloodshed that would have been required to take him in custody, the fewer that have to suffer because of Trump, the better.
