On vaccines, what would this world be like if we still had smallpox and polio still ravaged the world, if measles, mumps, rubella, and whooping cough were still widespread?

Marley, there is no denying the malicious racism that has so often accompanied medical research - I would never argue otherwise. But please don't assume all vaccine research is anything like that.

Your choice really is between having a 95% probability of not catching COVID for at least the next several years...or living the rest of your life with all the COVID restrictions you're living with right now, because COVID itself is not going away.
