On a side note about FOD, on my last day at sea before my retirement, I was on the port side aft sponson on CVN-72 - just next to the fantail - during flight ops. I turned to go back inside, and the next thing I know, I’m waking up in Balboa Naval Hospital after having received 140-odd stitches and staples on my scalp. As far as we can tell, I was struck by FOD from the flight deck. I hope it’s that - otherwise, it would have had to be someone who personally did it.

But that’s okay - the surgery gave me an inch of my receding hairline back, and my voice got deeper. I call it my second puberty. 😁
