My favorite memory of Singapore is singing karaoke alongside several members of the Singapore military at the Raffles Hotel almost 30 years ago. It didn’t take long to find out that the Singapore military is not like our own, in that yours does a great deal more cross-training than we do. Singapore is probably the best (and certainly the cleanest and safest) city I’ve ever seen.
