It wasn’t until nearly a decade after I retired from the military before I even learned of the different kinds of biases and logical fallacies, and then only by having my a** handed to me in online debates. And you may well be right — after all, those biases and fallacies are insidious and even the best and brightest can inadvertently fall afoul of them.
