“Ignorant and blind”, hm?

Were you raised as a racist? I was. Here’s my journey out of it.

Did you attend a segregation academy? I did — this one. It was part of a system built in protest against Brown v. Board of Education. The one who built it was a US Senator who was a family acquaintance who lived just down the road from us.

Did you attend school in a town where the ONLY doctor’s office had two entrances, where over one door was “whites” and over the other door was “coloreds”, twenty years AFTER the passage of the Civil Rights Act? I did.

Did your family reject your spouse based _solely_ on her race? Mine did.

So please spare me your “ignorant and blind” accusation. You’re only showing your own ignorance and blindness concerning the world around us.
