I would agree with that. I’ve long felt that most of my fellow whites are racist, and that most of them are good, honest, hard-working people who simply don’t recognize their racism for what it is. Racism doesn’t require malice, but only requires untoward assumptions about another race or ethnicity. One can be brave, courageous, humble, [insert positive trait here], and still be racist. For example, just because a white man will risk his life to save a black man doesn’t mean he’s not racist.

Most (but certainly not all) do tend to stick to their own kind when given a choice. This goes for all races. On its face, there’s nothing wrong with that…but if most of a certain group is racist, then the result is the reinforcement of racist attitudes. Today’s GOP is a prime example of such.
