I worked for years with people with dementia and cared for them in my own home.

And you know what? Even if Biden’s starting down the road to dementia — which is a fate I wish on absolutely no one, not even Trump — I’ll still happily vote for him in November.

Why?

Because regardless of what a lot of Republicans and Bernie Bros think, Joe Biden is the one that is leading and best-positioned to beat Trump. If Sanders somehow comes back and wins the nomination, I’ll vote for him. I’ll vote for whoever wins the Democratic nomination, even if it’s this Bernie:

The key is this: ANY Dem, sane, demented, or dead, is better for America than Trump. Or haven’t you been paying attention to what the malignant-narcissist-in-chief has and hasn’t done over the past several months with COVID-19? Not to mention giving lifetime federal judgeships to lawyers that the American Bar Association publicly stated were NOT qualified to be judges at all?

So let’s beware of those who demand Biden adhere to some progressive purity test — we need to get Trump out of the White House. Otherwise, we’re likely to find out that those 27 times Trump “joked” about staying longer than two terms…weren’t really jokes at all.
