I understand your motivation. To you, it’s a matter of conscience.

Here’s your choices:

  • Vote for Biden
  • Vote for Trump
  • Vote for someone else
  • Don’t vote at all

Thing is, regardless of the choice you make, the next president WILL be either Biden or Trump.

Look at what Trump has done to the nation. Do you really think the next four years would be any better? Here’s the key: any choice you make other than voting for Biden is effectively giving support for another four years of Trump.

And as Trump continues to tear down what’s left of our democracy for another four years, what are you going to tell your friends and family? “I know Trump has destroyed our democracy, but at least I was guided by my conscience!”

Your conscience doesn’t put food on the table or pay the bills. It also doesn’t make sure that the Supreme Court isn’t packed with even more Trump cronies willing to allow Trump to act as a king in all but name.

Beware of demanding ideological purity. If all progressives believe as you do and refuse to vote, then we’ve got another four years of Trump. Is your precious conscience really worth that? There’s about 83,000 dead Americans (and their families) who might see things a bit differently.
