I strongly agree with your list of “worst practices”. Shaming, facts, mic drops, and unfamiliar terms all are of little if any effect. In my experience, the only thing that has worked is by setting the example by my own personal conduct towards minorities, with the hope that someday some of my fellow whites might unlearn their own racism just as I did.
