I strongly agree - that would indeed happen. But even if it happened at half of the ranges, this would still mean it’s not happening at the other half, and all ammo in such places would be concomitantly very expensive. That, and every range that flouts the law wouldn’t have to worry about state or local law enforcement, but the feds - the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. They’re not as easy to bribe as the local police are.
