I strongly agree. After all, when we landed in Normandy on D-Day, the Red Army had already pushed the Wehrmacht back inside Poland.
I noted that as part of an article where I stated my opinion that the only real reason we invaded Normandy when we did was to keep the Soviets from taking the rest of western Europe. A lot of people didn't like hearing that, but IIRC both Churchill and Truman (before he took over from FDR) had wanted to let the Soviets and the Nazis grind each other to dust before we stepped in. But to be fair, Churchill had good reason to say so, seeing as how the Soviets had been sending trainloads of resources to the Nazis up until the very day they invaded.
