I strongly agree, and said much the same thing in an article three years ago that we whites can’t say the n-word or other racist language against Black people simply because we aren’t Black. It doesn’t just apply to race, either, but even to one’s profession e.g. it’s okay for us military vets to pick on each other’s service branches - I can call a Marine a doggone Jarhead just as he can call me a squid - but those who have not served cannot do so.

One can insult one’s own, but when one begins insulting those who are not one’s own, one is walking on thin ice indeed.
