I really enjoyed your article and learned a great deal. I would say, however, that the fact that Caesar was only 15 when Brutus was born does not by any means indicate that Caesar cannot have been the father. After all, anyone who remembers going to school in the ninth grade knows how horny boys are even then...and sometimes not just the boys.
That, and if sexuality was so accepted in Rome as long as it wasn't embarrassing, an adult woman's dalliance with a young teenager might have been seen as much wiser than an affair with an adult male, for young teenagers carry little societal baggage and aren't looking for much beyond having sex, whereas adult males are more likely to want more than just a roll in the hay.
