I *never* claim to be an expert on *any* matter. Please do not infer that I claim expertise on anything.
I do claim to be an amateur historian - but please note the word "amateur". I don't know everything about WWII or any other war, but just as there are facts and data about WWII that you know better than I, there's probably facts and data about WWII that I know better than you.
Just because I'm wrong or ignorant of one (relatively minor) event in WWII does not infer that I am wrong or ignorant about other events in that war.
Note that the Dieppe landings were not considered an invasion, but a 'raid'. There's a reason it was referred to as a raid.
That being said, when someone proves me wrong or ignorant concerning a matter, I am sincerely grateful, for that person has helped remove some of my ignorance. For that reason, I _sincerely_ appreciate you pointing it out the Dieppe raid.
