I had over 9000 followers on Quora and was either most-read or in the top ten on several topics. Then I was banned, apparently because if people don’t like what you post, Quora lets you know that you have complaints against you, but doesn’t point out exactly what the complaints are, and so it becomes very difficult to address those complaints or adjust one’s writing style to be less controversial. I mean, it’s hard to avoid controversy if one doesn’t know what is considered controversial.

So maybe one of these days when I have a different IP address, I’ll start up on Quora again. What’s sad is that I’ve got to avoid saying things that would identify me as one who was previously banned.
