Good reply, but one note: sure, America has a lot of corruption, but we're amateurs compared to third-world nations. You mentioned the Philippines - it's *normal* to bribe traffic cops there - I've done it myself (and even paid off a judge to get my brother-in-law out of jail). When my brothers-in-law came to America, their biggest shock came when I told them to never, ever try to bribe a policeman here. It was hard for them to comprehend that here, *most* civil servants don't take bribes and will report any attempted bribery.

So...no. Anyone who thinks America's corrupt needs to spend some time overseas and learn what life is like when corruption is the rule rather than the exception like it is here.
