Clay Rivers recommended that I contact you concerning a poem I wrote several years ago. I published it first on Blogspot in 2008, and I’m in the process of recovering and then deleting the blog as a whole. I published it on Medium last year, and I just unlisted access to it.

It’s a reply to Kipling’s “White Man’s Burden”, and I recommend that readers first read Emma Lazarus’ “The New Colossus” and then Kipling’s poem before reading mine (unless, of course, they are already well familiar with the other poems). I tried to emulate the style and meter of Kipling’s poem, but mine could of course never compare to his. I hope you enjoy it.
