Except for the Bible, the one book that influenced me more than any other was “Nectar in a Sieve” by Kamala Markandaya. Sure, there were certainly many, many books I enjoyed more, but none have had nearly as great an influence on my outlook on life. The great lesson that it taught was, “count your blessings” (though such was never said in the novel).
