China has "never inflicted such mass murder and theft upon the world"?

You really haven't read up on the Cultural Revolution and the Great Leap Forward, have you? Read up on the Taiping Rebellion, too. And you really haven't read up on what they're doing to the Uighurs and the Tibetans, have you?

If they will do that to their own citizens, what do you think they would do to those who are not Chinese? I assure you they will think no better of those from Sri Lanka than they do of the people of India.

What you're missing, sir, is that the Chinese are HUMAN. That's my entire point. Given the same power, the same circumstances and the same choices, they're every bit as capable of the good and bad as every other nation or people on the planet.

To say otherwise is simply naïve.

Both India and Vietnam have had military clashes with China in the past 40 years, and just yesterday, China threatened Taiwan (again) to allow Chinese warplanes to overfly Taiwan without resistance. There are more reports than usual of China massing for an invasion of Taiwan - which, despite what Beijing wants you to believe - has been its OWN nation for over SEVENTY years.

The Chinese ARE every bit as capable of great good and great evil as America. I believe that China - and not America - is most likely to lead humanity's expansion into space. Their "Belt and Road" initiative to build trade is breathtaking in scope. I believe that when the time comes, China - and not America or Europe - will be best positioned to lead the world in doing what's necessary to address global warming.

But to assume - and you, sir, are assuming - that the Chinese are somehow less of a threat to your personal freedom than America is...just remember that I can call Donald Trump a full-blown evil traitor *to his face* and not face legal or illegal retribution from the government.

But what do you think would happen to any Chinese citizen who called Xi Jinping a "full-blown evil traitor"?

If you forget all else, remember that.
