Being from the very deepest of the Deep South (the MS Delta), I've seen kudzu many, many times on trips back and forth to Jackson. The stuff covered telephone poles and electric lines, cars, and old shacks. I suspect that the only reason it's not "eating the South" is because of modern tech, from mechanized farming to (cancer-causing) herbicides. But I thoroughly enjoyed your article :)
