All those are true...but please tell me how even the worst of those atrocities excuses Israel's actions towards the Palestinians. Hm?
You can't.
In fact, committing injustices against others does nothing but detract from the long and proud history of Judaism. In other words, it's hard to play the victim card when you're committing injustices on others.
What's more, this isn't a "Jewish" thing, but a Zionist thing, a matter of politics. It's the far-right Zionist government that is perpetuating the injustices against the Palestinians...and using their religion as an excuse, thus making them little different from the far-right evangelical "Christians" in America who use religion as an excuse for racism and outright cruelty.
If Israel wants to be considered an upright nation, one that sets the moral example for other nations, then they have to not just stop committing injustices against the Palestinians, but to actively fight for their freedom.
Lastly, I'm retired Navy. Note that I do not excuse America - our history, from Vietnam through Iraq, has been one of militaristic belligerence. I hold America to the same degree of morality as I would hold Israel. To do otherwise would be base hypocrisy.
