1 - what you're watching, sir, is the *least* expensive war we could ever hope to fight against Russia. It's especially important since Putin himself has said he wants to bring back the glory days of the Soviet Union.
2 - You point at the debt. Since 1960's, only *four* presidents have cut the deficit (LBJ, Clinton, Obama, and Biden), and only two have had budget surpluses (LBJ and Clinton). Did you see a common thread there? ALL Democrats. The last GOP president who did either was Eisenhower, whose 1956 party platform looked a LOT like Obama's 2012 party platform (except for LGBTQ rights).
The GOP is not conservative and has not been so since the rise of Nixon. The GOP is *reactionary*, convinced that it must oppose whatever the Dems support, no matter how beneficial it is, even if it was originally a Republican idea (like the Affordable Care Act was).
You yourself may not support Putin and Russia, but the majority of your party *does*, which is how Putin supporters in the GOP got elected to Congress.
Lastly, I'm a former strong Republican - I loved Reagan and voted for him, but left the GOP in the wake of the Iran-Contra scandal.
